Why work with us?

Atlantic Staff PEI Jenna Rachelle Thumb

There's a special satisfaction to be found in working for a cause you believe in, especially when that cause involves something as important as the protection of Canada's natural heritage and biodiversity. That’s just one of the many rewards that members of the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) team enjoy.

Worldwide conservation efforts depend on the next generation of conservation leaders. As an NCC conservation intern, you’ll build a diverse skill set and gain practical knowledge to address complex environmental issues through valuable, real-world experience.

Some types of internships offered by NCC include communications, conservation and stewardship, engagement and science and technology.

NCC is dedicated to providing equal access and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We strive to support their dignity and independence, ensuring they can participate fully and equally. Our commitment to integration means we address and meet the needs of people with disabilities promptly by eliminating barriers to accessibility and complying with provincial legislative requirements.

Recruitment and hiring

NCC is committed to fair and accessible recruitment processes. We notify employees, job applicants and the public that accommodations can be made during recruitment and hiring. We notify employees that supports are available for those with disabilities as soon as practicable after they begin their employment.

Workplace accommodation

Employees with disabilities will be accommodated in the workplace to ensure they can perform their job duties effectively. This may include modifications to the work environment, job duties, or work schedule. We will consult with employees when arranging for the provision of suitable accommodation in a manner that considers the accessibility needs due to disability.
